The basic features

The service is provided on a national and international level through GÉANT Lambda service and GLIF. Lambda service empowers users with full control at higher layers and with maximum flexibility in utilizing the complete optical circuit. The service differs from classic IP services and is aimed at advanced uses. Lambda service comprises optical segments interconnected electronically, i.e. deploys optical-electrical-optical conversion (OEO).

The services provided by CESNET are available to entities which comply with the Terms and conditions for the access to the CESNET e-infrastructure, primarily entities focusing on science, research, development and promoting education, culture and prosperity.

Contribution for the implementation of the service (association members: up to 50%, participants: up to 100%) – determined individually based on basic feature requirements.
