The new feature in ZOOM – sign language interpretation

We have launched a new function which facilitates sign language interpretation within the ZOOM service. The pilot group of users from the Masaryk University Teiresiás Support Centre for Students with Special Needs successfully tested the service. When planning a meeting or webinar, the host selects sign language interpretation in the interpretation section. The interpreter is selected from a list or invited on an ad-hoc basis. At the beginning of the webinar or meeting, the host must start the interpretation feature. This enables a special window layout on the participants’ screen. Participants can display the interpretation window where they need it, and resize and reposition the video window. Technical details are available in the Zoom documentation.
