CESNET will present national e-infrastructure services

Prague October 15, 2013. The seminar on service complex offered by the CESNET e-infrastructure will take place at Modrá posluchárna (Blue Lecture Room) of Charles University in Prague at 9:30 a.m. on October 21. The CESNET Association specialists will concentrate primarily on the practical application potential of the e-infrastructure services and their integration into existing IT solutions at user sites. The participants will also have an opportunity to learn several case studies of the CESNET e-infrastructure services deployment. The CESNET e-infrastructure is a complex national IT infrastructure earmarked for the needs of national science, research, development, and education.

The free-of-charge seminar is aimed both at representatives of user organizations as well as the institutions that could use the services in the future. The entrance to the campus where Modrá posluchárna is located is possible both from Celetná 20 or Ovocný trh 5, Prague 1.

The CESNET Association was founded by Czech universities and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in 1996. It is engaged in research and development in information and communication technologies and builds and develops the CESNET national e-infrastructure for research and education. With its research activities and accomplishments, CESNET represents the Czech Republic in international projects, most notably the pan-European GÉANT network building project and grid projects (EGI.eu), and participates actively in their implementation.
