CESNET at the weekend InstallFest conference

Prague, 4 March 2015. Experts from the CESNET association will be making an appearance at the sixth annual revived InstallFest conference, which takes place this Saturday and Sunday (7th and 8th March) at the Silicon Hill training centre in the Prague district of Strahov. The conference will offer numerous lectures on topics connected to Linux, free software, and other issues.

Specialists from the CESNET association will be appearing in the Saturday lecture block. Ondřej Caletka will give a speech on the topic of BusyBox and dnsmasq type utilities. Michal Strnad will advise on how to renew a system as quickly as possible after a hard disk collapse, and will then go on to talk about the data storage space of the CESNET association. In a joint appearance, Lukáš Macura and Jiří Šlachta will present the aims and possibilities of the Eduroom project, which attempts to put the eduroam AP (Access Point) into operation in typical OpenWRT supported hardware.

The CESNET association is also one of the event’s partners.

The CESNET Association was founded by Czech universities and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in 1996. It is engaged in research and development in information and communication technologies and builds and develops the CESNET national e-infrastructure for research and education.
