CESNET at Science Research Innovation Fair

Prague, 22 February 2017. CESNET will participate in the upcoming Science Research Innovation Fair (SRIF), to take place at the Brno Exhibition Centre from 28 February to 2 March. CESNET’s stand in Pavilion B will present, for example, the COMBO card for 100 Gb networks. In addition, the Association will inform visitors with video transmission of the highest quality, the UltraGrid technology that permits high-quality video transmission on commodity PCs, offer information about time transmission via the optical network, photonic and other services provided under the CESNET national e-infrastructure.

The Science Research Innovation Fair establishes a new interdisciplinary platform interlinking the scientific and research community with the business environment. It is an opportunity for schools, companies, researchers and scientific teams to present the outcomes of their work to each other and for the professional and general public.

The Fair will be launched with a ceremonial meeting in the presence of prominent personalities from various scientific disciplines and public administration. Those who have promised to attend include Deputy Prime Minister Pavel Bělobrádek, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Kateřina Valachová, Chairman of the Czech Rectors Conference Tomáš Zima, and President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce Vladimír Dlouhý.

The CESNET Association was founded by Czech universities and the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in 1996. It is engaged in research and development in information and communication technologies and builds and develops the CESNET national e-infrastructure for research and education.
