Jan Gruntorád in the CONNECT magazine of GÉANT

CONNECT magazine, published by GÉANT, the association of European national networks for research and education, has published an interview with Jan Gruntorád, founder and long-time former director of CESNET. The interview is part of a series of articles on Internet pioneers who, among other things, have contributed to the development of the pan-European GÉANT community. Jan Gruntorád talks about how he initiated the connection of our country to the European Academic and Research Network (EARN) in the early 1990s, but also about the important role played by CESNET in the development of a mature national e-infrastructure and in the involvement of the Czech Republic in key international projects.
